  1. This is !Type, version 1.6  (29 Jan 1994)
  2. Use
  3. =========
  4. The program is designed to give you typing practice. It is not a typing
  5. tutor, but you may well eventually find it helpful to keep your fingers
  6. on the correct key positions, and to look at the screen, where the
  7. keyboard is drawn out, not the keys as I still do! 
  8.  
  9. If you click in the empty box, a timer is started, and you can type
  10. in the sequence of characters in the box above. When you reach the end 
  11. press return and your time and your accuracy are updated. Missed or extra
  12. characters really mess up your accuracy so you are encouraged to carefully
  13. keep your eyes on the screen rather than the keyboard. Anyway I could
  14. not be fagged to make it easier.

  16. A new sequence then comes up. After completing this line the accuracy
  17. and time for this line, and for the cumulative ones are given. When all
  18. the tests are completed your, achievements come up. If you are not fed up
  19. just type it in and you will start again.

  21. Finally you may get fed up with the phrases in the program, but these 
  22. can easily be edited by loading the file 'tests' into !Edit, and changing
  23. them as you wish. However you will have problems if any line is made
  24. longer than the box provided for it. Also the last entry must have no
  25. Carriage return. (&0D)

  27. In this version (1.2) there are now 5 levels, but as I am not original enough
  28. to make up more appropriate phrases, (how about it doom watcher), 
  29. I have shared out the originals over the 5 tests. If you want more levels
  30. you can edit the 5 in line 960, and add other suitable textfiles, suitably
  31. named.

  59. provide an easy way of genereating a Wimp Program.
